Flipping Good Fun on Pancake Day

Published on Monday 06 March 2017

Lewis & Cooper joined in the fun at the annual pancake races today as shops and businesses in Northallerton lined up for the battle of the frying pans.

At the thick of the action was Joint Managing Director Victoria Howard who missed out on glory in the traders' race but did manage to beat a dinosaur.

The annual Shrove Tuesday event on the Applegarth playing fields is all in a good cause as it raises money for Naomi's Fight for Life Fund, set up by local oncology nurse Lucy Savage after her young daughter was diagnosed with a brain tumour.

Children from Applegarth School had their own races, and the event was supported by Northallerton & District Round Table, Northallerton Retail and Business Forum, Sam Turner & Sons, Colin Hutson Accounting and Northallerton Town Council.
