Wine Cases
We're often asked by customers in our stores to select cracking wine cases for them.
Here are some that reflect the way our wines are organised online.
Whichever one you choose, you can be sure of six carefully chosen gems for your wine rack or cellar.
Please note: while we try hard to ensure continuity of supply, should one of the wines in your case be out of stock at the time of ordering, we will replace it with a wine of equal or better quality and value.
All our prices include VAT & UK mainland delivery.

1x Escarpment Chardonnay
Larry McKenna has always made brilliant Chardonnay, which is as close to Burgundy as anything in the New World.
1x Rustenberg, John X Merriman
Four and half stars (out of five) from John Platter. Serious Bordeaux blend at a realistic price. The New World for claret drinkers.
1x Seifried Aotea Sauvignon Blanc
Carefully blended by Heidi from fruit grown in Nelson, which is on the western side of New Zealand near the northern tip of the South Island. Aromatic, minerally and above all, fresh. This ticks all the boxes for Kiwi Sauvignon and then some....
1x Septima Malbec
The depth of color in this wine is slightly lighter than expected from a Malbec, but it’s bright and beautiful. The nose is full of toasted oak, bacon, soft black cherry, coffee and vanilla. The palate is nice, although fairly simple. The acidity is perfect. Black cherry, plum and subtle cassis flavours make up the fruit on the palate. It’s almost jammy, but not quite. The tannins are soft, but do the trick. Malbec is considered by many to be Argentina's trump card for red wine. In the case of this Septima Malbec, it is easy to see why. Fabulous with Chilli con Carne.
1x St Clair , Pinot Noir
A luscious, medium bodied wine with a round soft palate, well balanced acidity, supple tannins and lingering flavours.
1x Tyrell's, Old Winery Pinot Noir
Strawberry-scented Pinot for easy drinking.

1x Bonacchi Chianti Gentilesco
85% Sangiovese with 15% Canaiolo and Malvasia del Chianti grapes. A smooth, medium-bodied wine with good concentration of fruit - not to be confused with Chianti in a wicker basket...
Bonacchi Chianti Gentilesco, a Classic Red Wine from Tuscany, Italy
1x Bouchard Pere et Fils Macon-Lugny St-Pierre
Lovely buttery notes and an elegant simplicity make this an ideal foil for not overly fussy chicken dishes.
1x Chateau de la Presle, Pineau d'Aunis
Pineau d'Aunis rosé made from a wonderful red grape that produces a salmon pink wine of slightly peppery and spicy tones. A Summer wine par excellence and can be drunk all year long with spicy cuisine.

1x Chateau Martouret, Rouge
A great find, made by the Lurton family, using second fill barrels from Clos Fourtet, no less.
Chateau Martouret, Rouge: from our range of Classic Red Wines.
1x Dom Espigouette, Cotes du Rhone
Cotes du Rhone for grown ups, with generous helpings of spicy Grenache fruit.
1x William Fevre, Chablis
William Fevre is one of the most deeply serious practitioners of this often abused appellation. This Chablis is minerally, chalky and has a lovely concentration. Absolutely sublime with mussels.

Please note: while we try hard to ensure continuity of supply, should one of the wines in your case be out of stock at the time of ordering, we will replace it with a wine of equal or better quality and value.
1x Ashbourne Sandstone

1x Chateau de Sancerre, Sancerre
Drop dead gorgeous wine. When Sancerre is as good as this, who needs those fruity interlopers from Marlborough? Bring on the Goat's Cheese!
Chateau de Sancerre: from our range of Classic White Wines.
1x Chateau Fortia, Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc
Great depth of flavours, so get the best chicken you can find to roast and partner this.

1x Fabiano Amarone della Valpolicella
Intense garnet red colour with an elegant, spicy and complex nose. Fabiano Amarone della Valpolicella is a full-bodied indulgent red wine from Italy with a luxurious mouth-feel. On the palate, there are notes of sour cherries with hints of ripe plum, cinnamon and spices. This is beautifully structured wine with very soft, tannins and gentle acidity – a wine to savour.
1x Rust en Vrede Estate
This turbocharged premium blend consists of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and a dash of Shiraz. In 1998, Jannie Englebrecht handed the reins of Rust en Vrede over to his son Jean, who appointed Louis Strydom as head winemaker. Their efforts were rewarded when Wine Spectator named the Rust en Vrede Estate to its Top 100 Wines four years in a row, a first for a South African winery.
1x Telegramme, Chateauneuf du Pape
From the Brunier's: Chateauneuf of great quality without emptying the savings account. Be a rebel and try this with haggis.
