Tearooms

Occupying the first and second floors of our 17th-century high street store, our Tearooms boast charming views of the bustling market town of Northallerton. Sit back, relax and watch the world go by as you indulge in mouthwatering treats from our menu, which celebrates the best of local produce.

Opened in 1999 to celebrate our centenary in rooms formerly used as an apartment by the shop manager, the tearooms feature original Victorian fireplaces and fittings. 

The Tearooms offer friendly, attentive service six days a week in comfortable surroundings. Whether you wish to take a quick shopping break with a cup of freshly roast & ground L&C coffee (with a slice of our acclaimed luxury fruitcake, of course), or a enjoy a delicious lunch, you can be assured of the warmest welcome in town. 

Freshly prepared home cooked food

With a menu bursting with the finest local produce and hand baked cakes and scones there's something for every taste. Our menus include local delicacies such as award-winning Masham Sausages, local free range eggs, the famous Henderson's relish and world famous Wensleydale cheese alongside homemade cakes and scones.

Our award-winning breakfast features fresh ingredients including award-winning sausage, dry cured bacon and fresh free range eggs and is accompanied by our delicious own blend coffee or tea.
